ANZAC Weekend Weakest Auction for the Year
Auction volumes were low for all capital cities over the weekend, as the nation celebrated ANZAC day. National clearance rate dropped to 64% from the previous week’s 65.5%. Despite the low clearance rate, a total of 859 auctions were held in key capital cities. The weekend clearance rate was the lowest for the year.
Sydney led all capital cities with a clearance rate of 72%, followed by Melbourne at 63.6%. The overall clearance rate was pulled further down by Perth’s clearance rate of 14.3%.
