Weekend Auctions: Sydney Soars As Melbourne Stumbles

Auction results over the weekend have shown a huge disparity between the two major auction cities causing the national auction results to drop to 65.9% from the previous week’s 69.7%

Sydney’s auction clearance rate ended at an impressive 75.5% with 332 properties sold under the hammer. Melbourne, on the other hand, was only able to sell 397 of the 738 properties, ending at a poor clearance rate of 63.9%. Nationally, auction clearance rates finished with mixed results as Adelaide ended with a 75% clearance rate and Brisbane with a measly 35.3%.
